It’s a new season, and you know what that means? It’s time for another round of G2 awards!
In case you’re not familiar with software review site G2, each quarter they announce their business software award winners based on millions of real customer ratings and reviews.
For the Summer 2025 awards, things are really heating up for Gem! Not only did Gem earn 23 badges total, but we were named a leader in the following categories:
Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Overall, Enterprise, and Mid-Market
Recruiting automation: Overall, Enterprise, and Mid-market
Candidate Relationship Management: Overall, Enterprise, and Mid-market
Talent Intelligence: Overall, Enterprise, and Mid-market
Diversity Recruiting: Overall
And that’s plenty to celebrate already, but it’s worth noting the fact that we’ve been gaining traction across different segments, earning badges both overall as well as specifically from enterprise and mid-market customers.
Let’s take a closer look at each category and hear from some of our customers directly!
Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Gem customers love the fact that they can eliminate the need for multiple recruiting tools with one AI-powered platform that does it all. As one SMB customer writes on G2, “This is a one-stop destination.” When it comes to our ATS in particular, Gem accelerates sourcing, outreach, application review, and interviewing.
“Gem helped us resurface silver medalists. We have a wealth of candidates who already know about us, so converting talent from within our ATS was significantly easier than cold sourcing.” – Nathalie Grandy, Head of Recruiting, Linktree
Recruiting Automation
Gem drives recruiter productivity with automation solutions for sourcing and outreach, inbound app review, and scheduling, helping our customers source up to five times faster.
"What used to take me hours or even days to complete can now be done in minutes with Gem's AI-powered App Review. I can be more efficient with my time while passing higher-quality candidates through our interview process who would have been buried under hundreds of applications in the past. It's a win-win for recruiters and candidates." – James Parker, Head of Talent, Tropic
Candidate Relationship Management (CRM)
Our customers love how Gem’s Recruiting CRM allows them to discover, nurture, and engage talent across their entire networks. One G2 mid-market customer writes, “What I like best about Gem is its ability to centralize and streamline the entire sourcing and outreach process. The most helpful aspect is how it tracks candidate engagement and follow-ups in one place, reducing manual tasks and improving response rates.” Gem also makes it easy to search and re-engage candidates in your ATS, saving time and accelerating future searches.
“Projects and Campaigns can be used to nurture talent, communicate with current applicants when the application volume is very high, and help set expectations of timing while reducing your overall time to fill.” – Mike Walsh, Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Rex
Talent Intelligence
G2 defines talent intelligence software as any tool that employs AI frameworks or features to assist with talent acquisition or management processes.
Gem’s AI solutions—AI Sourcing, AI Inbound Ranking, and AI Talent Rediscovery—help recruiters find better candidate matches through AI-powered features, while still leaving all the hiring decisions in your hands.
One SMB customer on G2 explains how Gem’s AI features are turbocharging recruiting: “I'm a CTO of a small tech startup. I have an urgent role to fill and am enlisting help from folks on my company's sales team. I was able to ramp up an AE on Gem's AI sourcing feature quickly and I already have candidates in my inbox. Pretty great.”
"AI Ranking has been 'on the nose' with our matching percentage—hiring managers are incredibly impressed with the candidates being surfaced." – Tony Le, Head of Talent Acquisition at Mission Cloud
Diversity Recruiting
Customers who are committed to meeting diversity, equity, and inclusion goals turn to Gem to track outreach data, identify potential biases, experiment with different links and subject lines, and craft nurture campaigns that build relationships and trust with candidates from underrepresented backgrounds.
“We use Gem for DEIB metrics to reflect our full applicant pool and to illustrate how our recruiters and sourcers build top-of-funnel with intention. For instance, in engineering, where we see fewer women engineers, we prioritize sourcing candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. This approach not only broadens our pool but also helps us present a comprehensive, diverse talent slate to hiring managers, aligned with our commitment to DEIB.” – Emily Sykes, Recruiting Operations Specialist at Faire
We’d like to thank all the Gem customers who took the time to rate and review us on G2—you’re the reason we have so much to celebrate!
